Prayer Request

Among the challenges of the Stay-At-Home order and the Distance Learning, my heart continues to be uplifted by the truly inspiring acts that have been done.  People are bringing out the versions of themselves.

I write today to ask you to bring the best version of yourself to one of our own.
Maible Johnson
Maible Johnson (student in E1) was admitted to the hospital last night with a very high fever that would not go down  She is experiencing severe pain in her feet and legs (so much so that she could not handle putting on socks).  Influenza test has come back negative and they wait for the results of the COVID test.  Maible has been transferred to Children's Hospital where she is waiting for x-ray result and to have an MRI.  At this time, doctors are puzzled about what is going on.

Join me in praying for Maible, her family and those whose care she is under. I have added a prayer for the sick:

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May Maible and her family find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

A message from the Johnson Family:

I want to thank you & this amazing school community for all your prayers! Maible had her MRI this afternoon and the doctor came in a few moments ago to talk with Paul. She said the infection in Maible’s foot didn’t make it to her bones. Thankfully, she won’t need surgery 🙌🏼 They did find a bacterial infection in her blood, so they’re going to be putting her on double the antibiotics for that and the infection in her foot/leg. They’ll continue to monitor her at the hospital. Hoping she comes home tomorrow! It’s a much better outcome than we could have expected. Praise God! All your prayers for her were clearly heard! Paul, the kiddos, & I are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers, and we are so relieved♥️
