Corona Style Celebration

My daughter's birthday was yesterday, April 6.  Having your birthday in Lent is a whole blog post on its own, but what about a birthday during these challenging days?  Days when stores are closed, people are laid-off, everyone is becoming stir crazy and for the stay-at-home family....we are getting to know each other in a whole new way!

For Teresa, celebrating her 21st birthday, was a 'right of passage' so to speak.  How do you celebrate your 21st birthday when the world around you is nothing that you have ever experienced before?  At our house, we decided to celebrate "Corona Style".  What does that even mean????

For us it meant making homemade Mac and Cheese (since Teresa's favorite food is cheese).

A little Corona Beer (Teresa thought is was as good as its name...yuck! :)).

A cake of her choice topped with candles made out of numbers (which ehen added together equaling 21).  Why? Well who would have guessed that you couldn't get birthday candles without going to more than a dozen stores!
A game made by Teresa called "21 Questions" and FaceTimed in Samantha to join us.
I am please to share that between Jim and I we were able to get 20 of the 21 questions correct!
We ended the evening with a bunch of dancing fun in the livingroom-turned-dance-floor:

Dad making all age appropriate drinks for all children.

Jer: Our part time DJ for the evening

Tabitha and Teresa created a line dance.

Dusty was not about to be
left out of the fun...who knew he
 likes to dance?

Fun with the siblings

Having fun

It was refreshing to just let the hair down and have a little fun...we will certainly need to celebrate again (it just won't be with a birthday).  What does your 'Corona Style' celebration look like?
